All the children in Key Stage 1 took part in an African Song day.
They learned songs from all around the African continent in many different languages and they looked at and played some African instruments.
Once all the songs had been learned the children put on a little show for each other so they could share, listen and enjoy the songs they had learned.
Their favourite from the day was a song originally from Ghana called Shay Shay Koolay.
This song was a rowing song so they sat on benches and acted out the song as they sang.
