Every week, weather permitting, Mercury class visit North Shields library.
The children walk to the library, learning road safety skills along the way.
The children return last weeks books and then begin searching for something good to take home and read.
Once they have found a good book, they all find a quiet little spot to read alone or with friends.
There is so much choice at the library; there is a book on almost every single subject. There is so much choice, everyone finds something new and interesting to read.
The Children all enjoy the library visits. They learn how the library works, how it orders the books and how to look after a borrowed book until the next visit. North Shields library is so much fun and so close to school. The children can’t wait to go every week.
