Autumn - What We've Been Up To
In Science we have been learning about Forces. In this lesson we were looking at air resistance and how we can cut this resistance down to make our homemade straw rockets go further. We learned that the aerodynamics (that's the study of the shape of objects as they move through the air) is crucial to making a more efficient and effective flying machine. We also learned that certain shapes reduce the air resistance as they fly which, in turn, allows them to fly further and sometimes even faster as well. After testing certain shapes and recording our results we learned that some shapes most definitely are more aerodynamic than others.
