Online Safety

As always, one of the most important things at Christ Church is safeguarding your children, especially online as sometimes they are using online technology independently.  Therefore, check out these Top Ten Remote Learning Safety Tips for Parents and Children and Staff.

Key Stage 1 Information

In KS1 we use Seesaw for remote learning. Teachers use video clips to explain the morning tasks and model a suggested way to complete each activity. Teachers are then available throughout the morning to respond to children’s work and share feedback.

Foundation subjects for afternoon activities are also uploaded to Seesaw with a clear explanation of each activity and the expectations for the children’s work. Teachers will respond and give feedback to the children as their work is uploaded.

Children are encouraged to respond in a range of ways for all tasks; this could be a written response, a typed response or even through uploading a photograph, sound bite or video clip

A suggested timetable for home learning is available below. We aim to cover a full curriculum with range of foundation subjects being taught.

At 1:15, pupils meet again for afternoon registration where any issues from work submitted that morning can be addressed.  Afternoon tasks are then explained at this time.
