Years 5 & 6 took part in an online question and answer session with Baroness Harris of Richmond. During the event on Monday, Baroness Harris talked about her role and the House of Lords, before answering questions from our students.
Baroness Harris has been a member of the House of Lords since 1999. She was a councillor for both North Yorkshire and Richmond councils, chair of the North Yorkshire police authority, a mayor and even an air hostess! We really enjoyed learning about her life and the important legislation she’s been part of over the years.
