We were given the design brief of creating a cam mechanism wooden toy during DT this term.
First we spent some time in the ICT suite to research cams, wooden toys and mechanisms.
Then we came up with two design ideas, we looked at them carefully and selected one to make.
Next we came up with a list of materials, equipment and tools.
Finally we created a flow diagram detailing the steps needed to make our toys.
Once we had completed the task of making them, we put our toys to the test and evaluated their effectiveness, positives, improvements for the future and lastly, we considered how we would market our toys.
