Travel to Tokyo Challenge

Travel to Tokyo Virtual Challenge

Christ Church C of E Primary School will be taking part in Team GB and Paralympics GB's virtual Travel to Tokyo challenge and we're encouraging the entire school community to join in too!

We have turned the school into a Travel to Tokyo team and we will be making a 47,349 kilometre virtual journey, around the world, to reach Tokyo in time for the 2021 Olympic and Paralympic Games. All you need to do is get active as a family and record your activity on our easy-to use Log Activity page
To enter the school team you just need to use the school's full name and postcode: Christ Church C of E Primary School, NE30 2AD

All the physical activity your family does will count towards our team journey. You don’t need lots of equipment or space – playing in the park or having a dance off to your favourite song – if it gets your heart pumping, it all counts! Why not try some of the fun Travel to Tokyo activity ideas to get your started.

We could even win some amazing prizes for our school and for your families too! So lets get logging some of our activities. Please send us photos and videos of you and your family getting active, so we can share how we’re doing! You can do this through your child's online learning platform.

To kick start our virtual journey we will be having a 'Christ Church suitcase design' competition. If your child would like to take part in this then use the template attached in the links above, or simply get them to draw their own suitcase template, and design a Christ Church Travel to Tokyo suitcase which could be used for our trip. Think about the Olympics, sports, Values (Friendship, Respect, Excellence, Determination, courage, inspiration and Equality) Our School Motto etc How could these be used in your designs?  Take a picture and send entries through your child's online Learning platforms. Deadline for entries will be: Wednesday 3rd Feb. Winners and prizes will be announced Mon 8th Feb. Good Luck!
