At Christ Church we have carefully planned our history curriculum to ensure that we build upon prior learning and use and develop the skills that we have learnt throughout the years.
We believe that History should stimulate the children’s curiosity and develop their understanding about the life of people who lived in the past, both in Britain and in the wider world. Therefore, we teach History by building an overview of world history; teaching a sense of chronology and by developing communication skills so children can share their historical understanding with others.
