Geography

At Christ Church we have carefully planned our Geography curriculum to ensure that we build upon prior learning and use and develop the skills that we have learnt throughout the years.

We aim to ensure our children understand the area which they live in and the wider world around them. We teach children to appreciate the human and physical aspects of our local region and the wider world through the development of their geographical knowledge and vocabulary, map work and observations skills. We take children on field trips to ensure that learning is given purpose and is linked to the real world.

Each year we take part in National Fieldwork Week, using our local area to explore human and physical geography.

Below you will find our whole school progression document and our Geography Policy as well as some examples of the work that our pupils have created.
