Autumn - What We've Been Up To
We recreated the digestive system.
First, we had the stomach and acid (plastic bag and orange juice). Crackers and bananas were then eaten and water was drunk. The stomach broke down the food.
Then, the food moved to the small intestine (tights), where the nutrients were squeezed out into the body (red tray).
After that, the food moved to the large intestine (different coloured tights), where water and salt was squeezed out.
Finally, the food came out of the rectum and anus (funnel).
